Afternoon. Liverpool FC have put a £8M price tag on our French striker David Ngog. He is keen to get first-team football and that means that Liverpool are prepared to sell. He has scored 19 goals in 94 apperances since his £1.5M move from Paris St Germain three years ago. Personally, I feel £8M is a bit steep. I'd be happy to see him go for £5-6M and he'd go with my best wishes. Full link here: http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/live...ce-tag-on-striker-david-ngog-100252-28775454/ Your thoughts?
he deserves a chance at first team football. i could see him going to a prem team in the lower half of the table, but yeah, 8million sounds a bit steep to me. we don't need him anymore as far as im concerned and i'd take 4/5m to get him off the wage bill.
I reckon that price is open to negotiation and is only a ball-point figure. If we could get £6 million for a player that cost £1.5 million that would be good business.Considering that Sunderland and Beachball head made a huge profit on Darren Bent.
I added to your rep because I completely agree that he hasn't shown enough to warrant being kept.Maxi has come on leaps and bounds since Kenny's arrival, for someone that was invisible under Rafa and Hodgson,he done well, and is looking like the Athletico Madrid Maxi.I reckon this will be noted and taken into account. He's done himself loads of favours. Some players like Jovanovic,Joe Cole and Poulsen have done themselves no favours and need to be moved on.
KPR I agree that Joe Cole hasn't done anything whilst in a Liverpool shirt but i'd like to see him have another season here because he is a top player he just needs to find that confidence again. I do however think hes on his way outa here!
I'd let Cole go just to get him off the wage bill. He doesn't fit in and to be honest hasn't really looked that interested when he's had the chance to play.
He's a bit like Konchesky. He's a London boy and has looked like a fish out of water.I don't think he's ever settled.Even with his old mate Glen Johnson there, who seems to have settled and I didn't think he actually would. He's not done enough for me to think he has a future. There is a few players that fall into that grouping,Jovanovic,Poulsen the same thing, best to move them on.Ngog is another.
It is a shame about Joe Cole but yes i do think he will be off in the summer, heard rumours about QPR? On the Jovanovic note what a big dissapointment, when he turned up he had pace, power and looked as though he was going to be an important player things have gone downhill since the start of September for him. Ah well should get at least £5mill!
£5 million. I heard there is clubs in Germany and Italy interested in him.If a respectable offer comes in,then sell him.Maybe 'Arry will take Joe Cole in part exchange for Aaron Lennon.
I wouldn't keeping Joe Cole for another season. He's not had the best start with the red card and then not realy being given a run of games but we know he can be a great player. I also don't think his style of play suited Roy Hodgson's ideas. Hodgson wanted ridgid players who don't move around, where as Joe would prefer more of a free role and to be the play maker. I think under Kenny next year, if the team play a lot more freely with an emphasis on pasing the ball and not whacking it long for Torres to chase (which is what was happening when Joe was in the team uner Hodgson) he might get someone near his best. We can't get rid of 15 players like some people suggest (Football Manager style) otherwise we will have no squad depth at all, and I think I'd feel a lot better seeing Cole on the bench than Poulson or Jova!
N'Gog is young has talent and will make a decent player at a team where he plays week in week out, he was bought for a reason or reasons and it has not worked out, if he was as bad as he has looked at times he would never have been picked up, like Babel, wrong team at the wrong time imo, they should have aimed lower to get more football. parker at Chelsea, the move ruined his career no doubt at all about that. 5 million please for David
