I'm sure given another season Moyes could have made top 4 (almost did with Everton several times). He would never have won the title, but would be a good choice for top 4 trophy. Van Gaal is more of a gamble. Top 4 not guaranteed ever... but if he doesn't flop like he did at Barca its possible he could do more than just a steady top 4 he could challenge for title.
