As many of you know, I'm a superstitious, paranoid, erect-for-Allen twat. But, I put this to you.. We've been performing the #nojinx rituals, but.. Was David Moyes the ultimate #nojinx? Not only did he drag Man Utd down to seventh, our rise to the top coincided with Alex "knock-Liverpool-off-their-perch" Ferguson, but also the appointment of David Moyes, who coincidentally cast a major shadow off Manchester United FC. For me, it's no coincidence at all, at first, I thought it was the departure of Fergie, but it now seems that it was indeed David Moyes creating this new found belief and aura around Liverpool. He got the people dreaming again, hoping again, believing again. He was a #nojinx on this great club, and he was importantly a #jinx on Manchester United. But he is then sacked as a result, the demons were banished, the storms were contained. Mr Manchester United, Ryan "****" Giggs takes over, they slap down a 4-0 win against a struggling Norwich side.. While Gerrard effectively (If the jinx is to be believed) slips to hand Manchester City the title. What God writ the script of that? After the infamous "We do not let this slip" war speech, our captain makes the most vital slip of his career. So.. David Moyes.. The Ginger Gollum.. Face like a Bruce Forsyth's scrotum... Was he really LFC's most prized asset? The biggest #nojinx ever to be created? I guess only time will tell... Returneth the special one, he shall return, the job has yet to be finished. The powers that be have yet had their final say. We go again. please log in to view this image
Dunno... but I do hope to see him back in management soon. Either at Chelsea when Jose gets the sack this summer, or at Spurs. My favourite scenario would be United giving a public apology and begging for him to return... but that, sadly, is unlikely.
Spurs also has a history of shooting themselves in the foot by signing managers that failed elsewhere- hoping they'll do better at Spurs.
I actually thought the opposite - that statue of him outside Anfield on Sunday is what did for us - hope Paddy Power stay away from now
He is a decent manager and now he has left Utd I have nothing against him. He would do a good job for Spurs, but would he move to London. Could see him at a championship club like Wigan and bringing them up.
I was always agnostic about Moyes... neither liked him nor loathed him... Think he's freakin' brilliant after what he did to United... I wish him a long and prosperous future now [genuinely] - I hope he finds a club he can be successful at.
