So if we did sack bruce(im not calling for his head), why not get Moyes. They have to sell their best players (Arteta Baines Fellaini) in the summer and he probably will want out now. Seems to be great tactically and could be great with money that we have. Thoughts?
Moyes is a fantastic manager but to be honest, I reckon he has his eyes on either City or Utd (post Fergie). Martin O Neill is the obvious candidate should any decision be made. He only said no in the past as we were 2nd division and why should he have dropped down a division? Would you? MoN has the pedigree and crucially is available. He took Villa to the brink of the top 4 and look where they are now he left? Bruce is a dead man walking and looked it yesterday and trust me, I say that with the heaviest of hearts having been a huge supporter of him thus far. However, he has lost the dressing room and its plain for anyone to see. Something catastrophic has happened at the club since Jan and the DB departure and its effected the whole club. 35 points in Jan and 38 in April is sack-able stats for any manager at any level. His win ration is 30%? Is that acceptable.
He is a dead man walking indeed, i would rather have Jol than O'Neill as ive always maintained but if O'Neill could take us past the third round of the cups...yes please.
Good to see you Cest! 30%? Is that right? That is ****ing diabolical for a manager so heavily backed in the transfer market. I can't agree with O'Neil, i think he's another manager with an 'upper ceiling' of how far he can take a club, it's higher than Bruce's, but it's still not great. As i posted on an earlier article we need a man of real stature, and i have suggested Louis Van Gaal, who will be available at the end of the season. Moyes would clearly be the dream ticket, but i'm inclined to agree with those who say he'll hang on for the United job, he's an absolutely blueprint Ferguson replacement.
Interesting. Getting sacked from a clun like Bayern isn't a slur, expectation is just so massive there, and Dortmund have stunned everyone this season, they were champions league outsiders, but won 11 out of first 12. (Leverkusen are likely to catch them now like) I'd be delighted with Van Gaal, i'd be non-plussed with O'Neill.
Think Moyes will move on in the summer, but it will be to a bigger club than Everton or Sunderland, as I think there will be quite a few managerial changes in the summer this year.
