If there was one person we didn't want to go cronk for the Benfica game it surely had to be him! Bah!!! Humbug!!!

No worries blue, I'm sure Cahill will do a perfect job partnered with JT on Wednesday! We were bound to get some knocks in the team with all the games we're currently playing.

Its just that he had such a blinder over there Drogs! I think a lot of Cahill and am more than happy when he turns out, but for Benfica--Luiz is the man!

Yeah I know what you mean, Luiz seems very comfortable in Europe!

Well luckily, Chelsea are now in a position where losing Luiz isn't so damaging.

Having three top quality centre backs in JT, Luiz and Cahill means we can keep Ivanovic at right back, whereas previously we would have had to play Bosingwa (shudder).

I would have no problem with Cahill playing. What a bargain!

Right back is a position that we seriously need to address but we never seem to be linked with any.

I know Ivan is as good as most there but a good quality rb would still be a good purchase.

Paulo will surely get the nod over Bosingwa - At least until the end of the campaign!

I'll go with that one! TBF although he's been mostly consigned to history these days, whenever he's been selected he's always done his job!

Paulo is another one of those players who rarely gets a run and equally as rarely never lets us down. Should be played way more often.

I have a hunch CP that RDM will have positive feelings about Paulo--and if David Luiz does go missing -its Paulo that gets the job!

Hutchison. Say no more. Ivan is world class and we have one of England's potential greats in backup.

Hutchinson deserves a chance. Hope his knees can hold up!

I have a high regard for Hutch ---but Wednesday is crunch day! A day when its vital experience holds sway! Bring him out on Saturday against Wigan by all means ---but lets not start experimenting in a fixture that is VITAL!

Dead right bluemoon2 but I'd start Sam before that ****er Bosingwa every day of the week regardless of the fixture.

CFC and Blueman. Sam Hutchinson is yet another one who should be getting regular outings, add him to the list of Josh, Bertrand, Kakuta, that good young midfielder, anyway you get the picture.
It's almost too late now in our position, but should have been happening some of last year and all of this year for "secondary " games.
Lets hope at seasons end ,for a good clean out, 2 or 3 cracking players in, and an upgrade for 5 or 6 of our youngsters.
Oh, and a manager first and foremost to advise our dunderhead Board on who NOT to buy !!!!!!
