Veteran US rocker David Crosby has died aged 81, his representative has confirmed.

The signer-songwriter was a founding member of two of the biggest bands of the 1960s: The Byrds and Crosby, Stills and Nash.

Didn't really get into The Byrds, but Crosby, Stills and Nash, that's another story! All part of my adolescence!!

Truly sad, I loved Mr Tambourine Man, I loved the connection with Bob Dylan, I loved the connection with the Hollies and Graham Nash, RIP mate I am a member of your generation and honestly admired and understood your music, sad loss, thoughts are with your family, friends and fans.

Great harmonies with Graham Nash over the years, and on the more recent On An Island by David Gilmour (album title track) Crosby and Nash are at their finest
