I think he's good enough to be there, his name has worked both for and against him, I doubt if even his uncle could've done much with the HRT.

Brilliant Senna a full 1.4 seconds faster than his team mate, a good chance of getting points in his (proper) first race.

"Senna B" is looking good, but Petrov was never good in the rain. Not taking anything away from him, P7 is a good job.

I want to see how he performs in the race before praising/criticising him any further.

He was excellent today constantly outpaced Petrov so you would of thought he would of destroyed Heidfeld. I really did not expect him to perform as well as he did, in pretty much the toughest conditions and situation possible he came out with flying colours.

An excellent job by Senna today in his first proper outing of the year, after his initial issues on Friday!

Its hard to judge his performance because Petrov is quite poor in the wet. Though P7 is still impressive in the Renault. Lets see how long he is able to hold Alonso and Button off because thats the real racing test right there and a chance to show how good he really is.

Well done to Senna. I thought he was definetly the man to replace Heidfeld but I didn't think he could outqualify Alonso and Button. Good show for his first time in a proper car (that scrapbox he had last year doesn't count).

I hold my hands up. I thought Senna would be dreadful, but he was absolutely brilliant today. It looked like he belonged in that car.

Yep, I have to agree with this, I thought he'd struggle today, but he's really done well today. Maybe the testing (sorry, promo filming days) carried out by him at Spa earlier in the year helped?

Possibly, but he did a half decent job in hungarian practice too, so maybe the guy has some talent.

that and he's not exactly new to the track, he's raced there a few times in different formula and is generally quite fast.

Oh I'm not denying he has talent, I more meant in terms of familiarity and car set-up. He'd have gone to the race this weekend with a lot of set-up work under his belt, and with some confidence in the car. Have you seen the video shot on his phone of Eau Rouge backwards?

No, the talent post was in reference to me calling him a useless waste of space.

Oustanding lap by Senna. Just goes to show that HRT drivers are still pretty damn quick. Does anyone remember what Ayrton said all them years ago about Bruno? " If you think I'm quick, then wait til you see my nephew!". And I agree with him. Perhaps being a reserve driver for half a season has done him good.

Agree with you on that. I'm no fan of his but I will admit he did well today. However my verdict on Bruno is still out until I see how he performs tomorrow.

LOL BRUNO DIDN'T USE DRS ON THE KEMMEL STRAIGHT!!! He's quicker than that.
