Good move for the lad and best wishes if it goes ahead , he's definitely one for the future

Sky Sports understands Swansea City goalkeeper David Cornell is in line for a loan move to St Mirren.

Cornell, who has come through the ranks at Swansea, is highly regarded within the corridors of power at the Liberty Stadium.

The 22-year-old is well down the pecking order at Swansea with Michel Vorm and Gerhard Tremmel ahead of him in Michael Laudrup's plans.

Laudrup is keen to loan out Cornell so that he can get some valuable first-team action under his belt to continue his development

St Mirren are leading the race for the Wales Under 21 international with Buddies boss Danny Lennon keen to bolster his goalkeeping options.

Is it a good move really ? Scottish football is no better than league 2 isn't it ? Would he/we have benefitted from playing at a higher level ?

I agree Stereo, well maybe League 1. Is he good enough to reach Premier League standards?

He's still very young in goal keeping terms , if he get regular game time then yes imo a good move

I think a good move for the lad, he does need game time and reserve team football with us is no good for him to progress.

Good move for him but yet another British player off our books. We need to keeo our quota up and that could effect our signings.

He should be good enough for at least a L1 club otherwise why would we keep him under contract.
