    Just watched the interview on SSN with Whelan, Ive got to say im jealous of Wigan, hes a top bloke! Makes me angry when you think of the tosser we ve got. A genuinely nice bloke who genuinely cares for his club, Id take that anyday! Fair play to martinez as well, don't see such loyalty in football these days <ok>

    I agree, the fact that Ashley and Whelan hate each other you would think that Ashley would take note of the GOOD things which Whelan does and copy them...keep your friends close and your enemies closer sort of thing. Obviously Ashley won't though.

    He only seems like a good guy because Wigan is his club

    Ashley has no previous ties to Newcastle other than to try and make as much money as possible

    I hink he said that he is going to sell Wigan for 1p as he wants his successor to put all of the money into the club.
