Just been sacked by Sheffield Wednesday. To be honest I wouldn't mind seeing him at the gate. I know he pissed off quite a few city fans but no doubt a good manager and bossed this league with Sheffield Wednesday but don't think there squad is strong enough to survive in the championship. Anyone else think he is worth looking at?

    Too dour for me.

I have just posted elsewhere that I would prefer Flitcroft from Barnsley. His two assistants are ex-Bristol City and so the desire to win for the club would be there. Micky Mellon had a decent record as a manager in his own right too.

May be dour but he is a very decent manager. Flitcroft isn't experienced enough in my opinion and has been terrible at Barnsley. Did well at the end last season but showed this season it was a fluke...

Think SOD will be off to Barnsley IMO, was close to signing before we came in for him

Is SOD the second choice everywhere he eventually goes? Perhaps that should have been our warning beacon.

seriously, if he would drop a league, and you could afford him, dave jones would get you out of trouble, even if it means cutting the squad.

1st time I have known 2 big cities have 4 crap teams between them. whoever you can afford, good luck.

He did well at Cardiff for years, when Sven was sacked, i would have happily had him or Billy Davies as our new manager at the time.

The worst hes done at a club is get them promotion from league 1, that's not bad seeming they weren't expected to get the autos.
