Just seen on beeb that Dave Jones has left cardiff. Seems a tad harsh for me as he has done a good job over last 5 years. Maybe he is West Ham bound?
I'm not usually one to carp about other teams and the people involved. Whilst I love me QPR, it takes two to tango (92 in the case of pro football) and I feel I get fuller value because I allow myself to admire lots about the clubs we play and those we watch on telly in other leagues. That said, Dave Jones' has become an exception to my rule. He invariably comes across as the personification of the most vulgar aspects of basic human nature: bitter, sulky, envious, crass etc.. It seems he has no redeeming features. All told, loanees or not, Cardiff had one of the best teams on paper and he clearly lacked the ability to inspire them to meet their potential. For this reason, I can find no sympathy for Dave Jones. Ugly character. I wouldn't wish him on anyone let alone the 'ammers. He really needs to take 5 and sort himself out.
Yeah but Brix, it ain't a personality contest. He's been asked to win promotion whilst at the same time his best players are being sold every season and he has to rely on loanees which is all but impossible. No-one would've done a better job at Cardiff under those circumstances. That said, he is a bitter little C**T
he's not my most favorite person but he did a good job considering he made the plat offs regulary and took then to a cup final seeing there millions in debt and he only had loanees,we struggled when we went down the loanee route.
Kiddie fiddler couldn't get a team with Bellamy, Bothroyd, Chopra, Koumas, Whittingham and Burke promoted?? Jokeville. Fully deserved the sack.
He should really have got that team up and I think he and the fans know it. It was in their hands not long before the season's end and they frankly bottled it and then bottled it again with an abysmal performance in the playoffs. I think he'll do well somewhere with a fresh start but he is an incredibly dour guy.
No sympathy at all. On paper that squad should've walked it, the fact they didn't is his most damning indictment. His monotonous whingeing was a feature of Cardiff's run-in, as Swords so aptly stated, he's a bitter little ****!
