http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-34116315 How anybody can avoid a custodial sentence for this is beyond me! I think I am right in saying that the only difference between this and Lee Hughes is the fact that Hughes was 'unlucky' enough to have killed someone. As far as I'm concerned Gibson, and anybody else under similar circumstances, should be punished as if he HAD actually killed someone.
Not a single argument! My cousin was 17 when she was killed by a drink driver who had stolen his brothers car! On the path in Chester le street! He got a 3 year ban from driving. No custodial sentence and he did kill someone! Absolute joke that Gibson avoided time inside
Eh???? That's ****ing disgusting! I'm so sorry to hear that. I thought a custodial sentence under those terrible circumstances was compulsory. Its making me angry, god knows what you and your family must feel.
It was 25 years ago mate. We've moved on of sorts.my uncle and aunty obviously still struggle at birthdays and the likes. He was from a rich family and had a very good lawyer basically. But if I ever bump into him hell not be very well afterwards
Apologies to all on here. Just read the thread properly. Please delete the above comment if possible.
Am i correct in thinking that the max sentence for vehicular manslaughter is 3 years?. Bit of a strange ruling if true
