New manager? Billy Davies, who left Nottingham Forest 12 months ago, is one name prominently in the frame. The 47-year-old Scot has experience of success in the Championship and worked closely alongside Cityâs performance manager Darren Robinson, a close ally of vice chairman Ehab Allam, during a two-year spell at the City Ground. Who is Darren Robinson?
There are a few very interesting stories I could tell you about Darren Robinson and his friendship with Ehab.
He's got his own website read his achievement's, surprised he was overlooked for the England job http://www.darrenrobinsonperformanc...tion=com_content&view=article&id=22&Itemid=22
So it's Darren Robinsons fault that Stewart came back after the injury lay off and played with less than 50% of his potential and his fault Koren drifted in and out of games. His fault Simpson wasn't in the frame of mind to make the effort to win a first team spot and his fault Matty Fryatt's form dropped immeasurably to where he needed a dozen gilt edge chances before he found the target. What else was he guilty of?
Agree he had little influence on any of the above that is my point, he is a fitness coach but reading his achievements he lists promotions, 33 game unbeaten runs etc
Nice One premiertiger, to my mind the whole mess didn't make any sense at all, but with this information it is now beginning to add up!
And the new manager i presume has a team already in place, what with Robinson, Gary Walsh, Wigley etc. so which manager is going to not want to bring his own team with him.
More than likely pushing his old Forest boss towards Ehab. Lord help us. Billy Davies has been on Forests payoll upto the end of April hence why he has not been in a job apparantly.
Hell of a resume. Thought at the time it was an interesting appointment. Now it seems that there was more to it than I thought. Looks a very talented guy. Has not played at a competitive level. However, dont think that you need to have played for England or similar to manage a top class team. Others have done it. Take Andre Villas Boas he has no experience as a professional footballer. And never knock education. Would not surprise me if he was not appointed manager.
Premier Tiger Are you able to say if Nick & Adam got on with Robinson? This may sound a little 'left field' and I note others are hinting it. However, given that Adam fell out with Billy Davies and Robinson is a mate of Davies and Ehab apparently, I did wonder if Robinson is the 'sand in the ointment' here? One look at his CV website suggests he's no shrinking violet! Whether Davies is appointed or not Robinson might be fancying a little bit more of the action! Apologies if it's been mentioned elsewhere! Cheers
Always saw this guy sat behind AP in the directors box, Laptop open looking fastidious...plotting the next move!!! Now I know who he is!
