Last season he was immense for you lot and his stock unquestionably rose and he realised he was in a good bargaining position and refused to sign a new contract, he was also getting interest from mid table Premier clubs I understand. He doesnt seem to have had such an impact this year and having turned down the contract from Swansea and I imagine interest in him from the Premier League having waned a little bit it seems like a mistake by him.

Do you think you will keep him, also do you think you will need him. Given the position you are in now I imagine you could find a better player. Will HJ loosen the purse strings as well.

I think it is in Darren & the teams' best interests to try to iron out a contract . Also Rangel , DeVries , Williams ,Monk , Dyer, Sinclair , Allen ,Gower , Britton , & Dobbie should be offered contract upgrades or new contracts . New signings on my wish list consist of a very expensive , stay at home , huge in the air central defender whose only offensive threat is on corners in the opposition end . A strong , offensive minded left back to give Taylor time to learn & grow . From Wrexham to the Premier league is to much for Taylor . One central midfielder & one striker , besides Borini , who we must push hard to sign . Put a couple of million away for fine tuning in the January window . Bank anything left over after operating costs & from there , I couldn't care less if we stay up or go back down as long as we don't panic buy with saved money . Also , if we can't sign Pratley , sign a replacement . That's my plan & wish list ace . Hope the next few weeks bring some good news for you guys (cheers )

It's important that we invest in the Academy first of all, if Darren wants to sign and it's a deal that suits us more than him then sign him up. If not he can be replaced and I'll wish him well and thank him for all he's done for us! With special memories of that super goal against Forest!

I think we might well keep Pratley now, it's always a bit of a lottery for player to move on to another team, I'm sure that Leon Britton will put him right, so here's hoping we will keep him, and that this great bunch of lads stay together as a team, and go on to even greater things, I'm sure that Rodgers will be planing and stepping up the training system in readiness for Premiership football, my request to Brendan Rodgers is that we get Bodde back into the thick of things, and sign a big quality CB, I'm sure the Academy will come of the back burner now too, or put it this way, it had better be given priority!...................

You've got the core of a decent team there I think. Some of the players you mention above will struggle in the PL, but you can build around the likes of Williams, Boroni, Pratley if he stays and the likes of Sinclair and Dyer. It's a big step up but best of luck. You earned it and deserve it.

SussexBlue, I'd just love us to sign him - just the sort of commanding centre back we need. Thing is, I wonder could we afford his wages? Huw is not going to splash the cash even now and I agree that we should continue to run a tight financial ship. There's going to be a raft of big club casualties before long.
