just saw this too. really sad. one of the first names i'd remember when i was young. can even remember last year him coming on the fb group to talk about the way he left.
Terribly sad news. I’m pretty sure I saw Darren make his debut, didn’t he break into the side at the same time as Scott Minto ? A wholehearted player. RIP.
my immediate memory was of me and a couple of mates sat in a car outside the cinema over in Lakeside listening to the Blackburn-Charlton match when Pitcher scored the winner. best time I ever had in Lakeside. Now finding out he's passed away at 49 years old is a hard swallow. That really is no age to go. RIP Darren. Thoughts with his family and friends.
