Evident on all the forum sites regarding man.utd that they feel gibson is not good enough and should be sold or loaned out to get some regular game time. seeing as though we seem to have a decent relationship with fergie, id be tempted to make an approach for the lad. excellent player who may be available.

I hadn't thought of this, it would be a fantastic signing. He has champions league experience and very good long shots.

However im afraid its a no go-er he is a fully fledged member of fergies squad having already made 11 apps this season im affaird with Utd still in 3 comps they will need their squad.

stranger things have happened and why is it not realistic? rest of the season on loan for guaranteed experience as the united fans seem to be getting more annoyed every appearance.

From what the Utd fans are saying he sounds like a bit of a Bostock - scores a beautiful long ranger from time to time but is ineffective otherwise.

Anyway, do we really need yet ANOTHER midfielder? If we're going to loan another Utd player (are we even allowed 3?) then it should be a centre half like chris smalling.

Smalling is also a fully fledged member of the Utd squad with double figures appearances this season.

Not realistic i'm afraid, there'd be a host of Prem clubs in the queue before us.

Maybe after tomorrow when they can't loan but we can, not that i think they'd let him go anyway

    James Chester? Corry Evans?

both can play centre half, if we ask for another one Fergie would wonder what the hell we were doing!

<laugh> yes but I'd rather not stick Evans in centre half if it's not his best position - he could be a midget Zayatte!

<laugh> true, having both our centre halfs under 6 foot could cause issues, the point i was making was more that we've pretty much tapped them out of youth championship quality centre halfs. Without taking a risk that is (which some would say even Chester was)

To be Honest I wouldnt want him in the team, He offers nothing from what Ive seen of him other than a decent long range shot, His passing is terrible, He cant tackle and has no pace at all.
