I hear that Darren Gibson received so much abuse on Twitter that he left just 2 hours after joining the social networking site. I find this disgusting. Gibson might not be the most talented player and you may not think he is even good enough to be at Man Utd but to treat him this way is disgraceful. I'm sure that every time he pulls on a Man Utd top he gives his all for the team and it's not as if he acts like an idiot on or off the pitch.

Players should keep away from such things as they will receive abuse and that could affect them mentally. As Gibson plays for Man Utd, how can damaging him mentally help? I honestly want him to prove people wrong but I am not sure he can.

I think its harsh too, he may not have played as well as people wanted but at the end of the day the manager thinks his good enough to play and you should back that up. You could even boo if you were at the ground at his displays if you thought it merited it but not to abuse the lad who is clearly doing the best he can.
I do not think many united fans would abuse him to be fair, he hardly plays and is not a starter, I think it is more likely bitter fans from arsenal and city giving him ****, much in the same way luisnani and kamran do on here
Don't kid yourself I didn't even know who he was until I read this and I know most of your players. Clearly this was United fans unhappy with his play.

I agree. They're the same annoying plastics who have slated Fletcher, Brown, O'Shea and Park at various points throughout their United career. Probably all Football Manager players who think every United player should be a world class superstar...
