Just a class act. I take my hat off to him.....

    Ipswich.
    Charlton
    Spurs
    Sunderland
    Villa

You have to hand it to the guy, wherever he has been, he has to be seen as one of the most consistent and prolific strikers there has been in the last decade. Even when his team(s) have been performing poorly and well down the table, he always comes up with the goods and features well towards the top of the scorers leader board. That's a real feat if you can transfer that from team to team as he has done. He must have been so gutted when that plank of a Leicester manager picked the unknown Walcott ahead of him for the world cup. That was a disgrace!

Well done Darren and keep up the good work. You really should be one of the first names on the England team sheet.

He will do well for you at the beginning but then he will fall away. He will miss open goals and will not be with you long.

See profile ........ "Dark Side Of The Moon has not made any friends yet"

With posts like this little ray of sunshine it's hardly surprising is it !?!

The point of a good striker, somewhat bizarrely, is that they do miss goals and chances. The thing to concentrate on is that they got themselves in to the position of having the chance in the first place and if they do that a mere 30% success ratio will net you a bag full of goals even when they miss 70% !!!

    Swans fan in peace!

I genuinely believe Darren Bent is one of the most under rated players out there. Consistently bangs the goals in and you never bet against him. I'm struggling to think of many other Premiership strikers i'd pick before Darren Bent - Absolute quality and a bargain.

Thank you for being a total nob. I will not respond in kind because I do have respect for the vast majority of Villa fans.

Well done Villa, you're doing Ingurland proud with your up and down players!

Sign someone creative and it might turn the likes of Bent and Downing into 3 dimensional players.

Got a few England regulars in there now, maybe next season will be more promising.

He is a great club footballer, i'd have him at Liverpool.

For England though? **** no! Better off with Gerrard up front

He's a great club footballer when he's playing at home against an inferior team. When he was at Sunderland and they went on an extended bad run, the goals quickly dried up.
