    I think HR sold him from Spurs but not even in AV squad again although he's fit......worthy of a loan move in Jan...good record in premier league

    I'd take him; he has a good goals to game ratio at this level and at 28 is a mere embryo compared to the ages of much of the squad.

    Yeah, of course its all about the price and terms, Flyer. If the reported £10m was a price worth paying to say adios to Hughes if it increases the chances of PL survival, then perhaps £10m for a 28yo striker with a good scoring record is also a price worth paying if his goals keep us up? You'd get 3-4 years of decent service from a 28yo, so might be worth a punt.

    I'm open to any proven goalscorer coming to LR as we're pretty sparse in that area for sure.
