Have to say he is a goalscorer - if he stays fit then he's an asset as a player - although he is a complete twat!! Edit: I got a text off my brother about this way before this was posted - he works in Sunderland and has contact with some good sources - I'll try texting a couple of my "ITK's" and see if they know anything
I thinks its BS but if it is true i would be happy we know he can score goals. My only concern is could Bent & Fletcher play together.
What we need is a camera or phone user set up outside the training ground with sound so we know first who is signing !. Bent or danny graham would be good signings.

These must rate as 2 of the least loved, unpopular signings in modern times? I can think of any other 2 players that would absolutely split the SAFC camp right down the middle. For my tenpenneth worth, they are both undoubtedly excellent players and it would be massive statement if we got both or either but as one is a self confessed SAFC hating, mag lover and the other is a pantomime villain to rival the best of them, neither is going to put bums on seats initially and may even have a negative effect on the atmosphere at games? This could really go down as a masterstroke bordering on genius, or a complete and utter Gerard Ratner moment for Martin. I'm praying for the former and dreading the latter.
