He's the type of player we need, but cannot see it happening at the moment. I think, aside from the move for Hobbs, we won't be offering money for players until some of the current squad still on high wages are shifted out. I've seen James Mcfadden is set to be out of contract at Birmingham, might be worth a look if he's not offered a new deal.
Me too, but it won't come off! Firstly, he isn't out of contract and (obviously now) have a budget that would make a tramp blush! Secondly, if QPR are interested in him, why on earth would he come here?
If QPR do bid for him, then we're obviously out the running, it's just nice to see us linked with a good player. Someone on football rumours is claiming we're bidding for Shackell, with Harper going the other way.
