Anyone else think that the club with "better prospect of getting promoted" the Peterborough chairman referred to is us?
Just heard him on SSN and said that he had a club, better placed for promotion and are run by good people, who are willing to take him when the window re-opens. Anyone reckon this could be us?
He said he spoke with palace and forest and chose forest only to be shot down! I thought about us immediately as he said it!
Probably just Palace who were already after him. Despite us having a good history with them (he'd better like us, we paid £1.3M for McLean ffs) the good people thing is clearly a dig at Forest's people who he's already been having a go at rather than a comment on the other club.
Basically that forest were a bunch of ****ers because they pulled out the deal to sign Boyd because an eye test showed he didn't have a 20/20 vision, notwithstanding that he's played over 300 games and scored a couple of half way line distance goals. Also said that he'd already had a call from another team to take him on loan and that that team had a much better chance of getting promoted and was run by good people
I dont want to sound like an idiot but dont they have these things called contact lenses now? I think they help with that eye sight thingy. What a silly reason to pull out of a deal.
On what basis do people want Boyd, where would you play him and who would you drop? How would you fit him in? Don't get me wrong I like Boyd he's a good player, and under different circumstances I'd have him here in a flash, but we've plenty in midfield and I just couldn't fit him in, and why sign him to sit on the bench?
I think it could be us and I certainly think Boyd could play up front with big nick. He would also drift around well with Aluko when he is back fit. Think he would add to what we have, of course we will also have Gedo to use! Much better prospects than two days ago!
I hope it's us. He would certaintly improve the team, and would do us a job in midfield without Aluko.
