scored the winning and only goal in Millwall's 1-0 victory away at Plymouth. hopefully he can carry this form on to raise his price tag, although not too regularly mind, don't want Millwall near the top of the table. :emoticon-0110-tongu

I said he'd start well for them - he always does, scored on his debut for us and Scunny too. Won't be surprised to see him tail off in a couple of months and become frustrating for them.

    Beat me to it!

Really hope he does well, he was talked up a lot, same as Waggy, we should send him out on loan, then get them both back in Jan for the run in

    apologies :emoticon-0110-tongu

same here, his performances for us are somewhat lacking in consistency, however there does appear to be potential in there somewhere. hopefully he can now get his head down and improve as a player to fight for contention here.

I really hope thes two go out and come back from a loan and progress enough to be the players they promised.

It would be really good to end up in the prem next season and have a squad that included these two and Schlupp?

most definitely, not just because it adds more quality, but it also reduces the average age of our squad and serves us well for future years. Schlupp did very well tonight, however, we were playing league 2 opposition and he was playing league 1 football last season. here's to hoping he can reproduce this form in the championship : )

Maybe - but why not send him back out to Brentford? get Waggy and N'guessen out and the n see how they go?

We should offer 6m for Maynard take it or leave it - sure they will take it

Come Jan we could have Schlupp back after scoring 15 in 20 for Brentford, Wagy back after scoring a few and N'guessen looks like he could be getting some good pitch time at Millwall.

the problem with loaning out all three at the same time is that it would leave us a little short up front, even if Maynard was to come. recall clauses would have to be put in place, which may deter clubs from loaning them as they are not guaranteed the player for the duration of the loan. i'd say let Schlupp and Waggy have game time in the cup and possibly sub appearances in the champo, if this doesn't work then a short 1-2 month loan to a lower/same level cub may be the solution to get them firing again. for me Schlupp should be put on the bench on saturday against Reading. he will be full of confidence after tonight so i think we should capitalize on this confidence whilst he has it.

Schlupp should be on the bench for Sasturday. 'Strike when the iron is hot', well it's certainly hot now. Bring him on for the last 20 minutes whilst he's full of confidence, just give him a chance. When else is he going to get a one? We will be bringing in another striker eventually, if that said striker is as good as we hope him to be when will Schlupp get in? I say whilst we don't have many options stick him in there.

If we keep him then play him from the start, don't f*ck around with 15 mins at the end of the game.

Have we got a song for him yet?

Well he should start on the bench and then if he impresses in 20-25 minutes (not 5) then he should have a starting place. That's always how it should work.

I think he needs at least a small chance now though, before too long we'll have another striker and his chances will be reduced.

I think the chant is 'Ole ole, ole ole Jeffery Schlupp, Schlupp, Schlupp' :)

I would. These young players deserve a chance if it's on merit. It's very satisfying to unearth a talent.

Like I said, it's not as if we are blessed with options up front.

I would actually start Schlupp. Scoring a hat-trick is enough to get a place in the side for me regardless of his age and previous experience. I'm from the school of 'If you're old enough, you're good enough'. You talk about playing him when his confidence is up, well it'll to his confidence even more good to start than to sit around on the bench for an hour. Another thing, if Schlupp was on the bench and it was 1-1 after 70 mins and Schlupp comes on, he'll have more pressure on him than if he started the game.

Let's be honest, if it was Waghorn who scored the hat-trick, we'd all be calling for him to start so I don't see why Schlupp should be different.

Dany N'Guessan - our Kenny Jacket has a great way of smoothing the edges off of rough diamonds....He will be a much better player following a spell at the Den!

I dont think he will be coming back either way. I think if he does well you may be able to keep him

At the end of the month we should loan Waghorn out to someone like Peterborough for a few months. He will play everygame there and we can see if he can cut it in this league or not. I think he would flourish given a chance but it will take him time to settle into our team again and time is something he wont get if he isnt playing well. A loan would be best for everyone.

Sven also said as things stand Jeff Schlupp is staying but at the end of the month he may go out on loan. I think he would be best off with Chris Powell at Charlton for a few months

Agree that a move away would probably be best for Waggy. He's not going to be happy in the reserves and that's not going to benefit us. A move would be best for all parties I think. But only once a new striker is signed mind.
