Seems out of favour with NA. As a loanee may have thought he'd play more. Shame his goal was disallowed because that may have settled him.

I mentioned this before but no one else had heard of it. I think he sounds a bit Puncheon-like..too big for his boots.

Oh didnt know that, would like to see him back in the squad as he doesnt seem to bad for the situation we are in. I mean we have lallana who can play on the wing with maybe dickson on the other side but would like to see him at least on the bench!

    Thanks for the help

I think that it's fantastic that we're now talking about someone who can't get into the match 18. Shows that we do now have a squad, with various options in it.

At the end of the day, who would N'Guessan get in ahead of? Of course I would love to have him on the bench as an option, but I'd prefer Connolly, Forte and Chaplow/Stephens even more. That said, we could always leave a defender out of the squad (Harding, cough cough*), and be left with a bench of say, Bart, Seaborne, Butterfield, Chaplow, N'Guessan, Forte, Connolly.

*[For those of you who have not moved across from 606, and therefore don't yet know me, I am not Harding's biggest fan. In fact, I am so far the opposite of being his biggest fan, it's untrue.]

Yer we also seem to have at least 3 defenders on the bench excluding bart.

I said in the Rochdale match thread last night, he's been wiped from the Earth, probably by Martians.

All joking aside, in what we've seen of him, admittedely little, he hasn't looked or sounded too good to me

Perhaps he's been used for bit parts to rebuild Connelly.

I dont care if ur not Harding biggest fan...... but out of interest ..... why not????

In my opinion i think he is under rated by us and has in fact been one of our best players and his form and consistancy has been excellent in the 2nd half of the season in particular!

I behind every one of them!!! COYRs

Rather know the status of Chamberlain. I presume N'Guessan has gone back to Leicester.

I completely agree NashySFC. Dan Harding is a good player, very consistent and extremely underrated IMO. Although I don't rate a certain player, I will always be behind him, hoping that they can prove me wrong. :)

There's no doubt that Hardings form early season left a lot to be desired, however he has improved immensely in my book over the rest of the season. Mainly I think because NA dropped him for a few games. Certainly would agree he has his mad moments when distributing the ball but it is improving. So what is your dislike of him st_brendy.....why doesn't he do it for you?
As for N'guessin.....not sure what happened there......I had heard there was a spat....not sure where from. It is also true he hasn't even made the squad since. Last time I looked he was listed still as a Saints player so would be interested to know.

Nashy & Beddy - In my opinion, Harding cannot defend for toffee. He wonders out of position, he lets his marker go, he gets brushed off the ball. For an example of the latter, just look at Rochdale's 1st goal this week - how weak was Harding? He seemed to pretty give up, and left the player have the header. (Though the two examples which I always think of are Plymouth's goal on the opening day, and Peterborough's 2nd goal in the 4-4 draw - both of which are examples of Harding being out of position and/or losing his marker).

Going forward, I've got no real problems with him. However there are even issues here: 1) I think Dickson is even better than him going forward; 2) A full-backs first job is as a defender. I don't care how good they are going forward if they cannot defend. Being good going forward is a luxury in a full-back for me. It's fantastic to have, but it is not the most fuindamental, essential quality. Being able to defend is.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not some sort of person who hates half the team. I stuck up for Puncheon for a long, long time. I complained to people around me, and to posters on 606, when they were booing him earlier season. Likewise I never turned on Jaidi or anything when he had a few problems earlier. But I just cannot defend Harding, I just can't. He is a liability in our defence in my opinion.

N'Guessan has always been crap. I watched him for two seasons at Lincoln City (I used to work there) wasn't too good even in league two and always thought he was better than anyone else in the team. Would go on a have decent run and instead of passing it would just smash it into the side netting. If he's gone it can only be a good thing!

As you say it is your opinion, there are many who would differ, we did miss him down the left today, but Dickson put in a good shift, we are lucky to have them both.
