Daily Mirror reporting that Dans is near to completing his switch to us.

Fingers crossed that's true, it's been a while since we've had a creative central midfielder in Danns' mould.

 

I'm awaiting confirmation from an official source such as the beeb or sky sports, but if it is true then it might hopefully shut up some of the knockers, especially if you bear in mind the competition we'd have to of beaten off. Anyway, hopefully it's a sign of things to come!

 

firstly it's "Danns" & secondly I won't believe a thing until SSN/BBC report it.. but yes since he played a major role in keeping a poor Palace side up then he is what we need, steel and creativity.. I'd see him as a minor Edgar Davids/Clarence Seedorf type

 

Earlier this season he played alongside a minor Edgar Davids!

 

What an odd statement. Are you basing it on hair types (Seedorf once had long hair too) seeing as one was an attacking midfielder and the other a combative central midfielder

Spot on.You literally couldnt find two more different midfielders. It's like saying you see a player as being in the mould of both Nayim and Gary Brabin.

Hope it's true. We tend to do business fairly quickly under pearson so I'm quite surprised that only dudgeon has signed so far.

 

maybe im being pessimistic but i cant believe we've beat other clubs to his signature. wasnt he going to speak with wolves, leicester, ipswich & norwich ?

would love it to be true.. but i cant remember the last time we landed our main transfer target.

Obviously you'll get to read the full story in the Fail tomorrow. Said before he would be a fantastic scalp considering the number of top Championship teams in for him, but it looks like he could be heading elsewhere now (despite the accurate story reported in the Mirror)

 

All we can do is keep our fingers crossed until we hear officially that he's ours or someone else's.
