Not sure if he's had a mention but he had a top game last night. He outplayed the bull last night which is a big compliment. He doesn't seem to have gotten many mentions. He's been great for us this season, a top buy.

Williamson was also on form last night, he was winning everything in the air.

Simpson did well, from what I could see form my crappy stream Zigic was going up against him for headers so did well there! He doesn't get mentioned as Enrique has been outstanding all season but he has been very solid, forming a good partnership with Barton. <ok>

Most underrated player at the club. Hasn't put a foot wrong (I think there was one occasion but I'll ignore that) all season. Offers a lot going forward and pretty solid in defence. He keeps getting better as well, top player.

I see Raylor's back now, if Simpson got injured/suspended who would you lot say the lesser of two evils to replace him at RB?

I'd have Raylor anyday, actually has a decent delivery, whereas Perch offers nothing!

There were many Toon fans that thought the step up to the Prem would be too much for Simpson, thankfully, they were wrong! I think he's twenty times the player Perch is and how much did we pay for Simpson? £500k? Bargain :)

    Premier League quality RB!

Bargain for the reported 500k. Offers so much attacking-wise and usually very solid defensively, has a very good ''engine'', good pace, good work-rate and generally has been one of our more consistent players(not as much as Jose but pretty good).

Simpson has had a great season so far.

I would love to see him get an England call up.

Willo just has to keep performing the way he is and the powers that be will have no other option than to pick him.

Raylor, Saylor, anybody in front of Perch for me.

I'm not his biggest fan, I still think he is caught out of position too often.

He is improving every game though and I think he has great potential if he keeps improving, I would prefer Perch over Raylor though, because Perch can actually defend where Raylor cannot.

Same. I considered RB a problem area coming into this season (I'd have had S Taylor there) but Simpson's been awesome. Should be in contention for England, I don't know how Johnson keeps getting called up, Simpson, Richards and Onuoha are all better.
