Danny Simpson has just been tackled late and over zealously by James McLean. Simpson jumps up and grabs McLean and then grabs his throat with both hands. A mini fracas then ensues. The result of this? Ref Dean issues a yellow card to each player. It drives you bloody mad!
Yes, hard to believe it is still 11 vs. 11 in this game. There is a real double standard in refereeing decisions, in particular Barton's dismissal in the Norwich game. That Simpson/McLean confrontation, plus Krul getting involved should have seen both red carded and a yellow for Krul.
To be fair i think Mike Dean gets it right. It was the refs at home to Norwich and Wolves who got it wrong imo. And to some extent Diakite compared to Tiote.
