All the top players from last season, bar Kanté, have signed up. With the new additions we are looking very strong indeed with good strength in-depth.

    Why, Ed?

    Kante out, Mendy in... Simple!

Plus, Amartey didn't really feature at all last season, so he is just like a new signing.

I wonder if Kante feels a bit silly for jumping the gun. Also feel Vardys decision to stay may have convinced a few others.

    Ed? <laugh>

The club was adamant Mendy wasnt signed as Kante's replacement. Inler left aswell meaning we have lost 2 midfielders and gained 1.

If we want to play a 5 man midfield we dont have alot of options

Our CMs are Drinkwater, Mendy, King, James and Amartey.

Our wingers are Mahrez, Albrighton, Schlupp, Gray, Kapustka and Musa.

I'd say we have some options at least.

Matty James hasnt been included in the Champions league squad and after such a long term injury who knows if he will ever be the same player or how long it takes for him to get back to a competitive level

All we need is an injury to King, Drinkwater, Mendy or Amartey and were struggling

    Wingers are more then fine

As we play 442, there are only 2 CM places up for grabs - would be really daft to include any more CMs as that would leave us short in other positions in the squad.

One thing we need to do is improve our academy team - there is a reason why the likes of Man Utd scour the globe for youth team players as if they do have injuries like last season, they have at least half decent cover.
