Danny Simpson has been found guilty of attacking the mother of his child. Since the news broke that he had been arrested for this he hasnt been anywhere near the first team. I think his days are numbered and rightly so. We don't want someone like this at our club and add to the fact he's a bit ****. The scumbag could get a custodial sentence http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/L...y-throttling/story-26541652-detail/story.html
Sackable offence, even if he doesn't go to jail. Get rid ASAP. What an arsehole, we don't want someone like this anywhere near our club!
I will stand corrected if I'm wrong. Was the news about this not already common knowledge when we signed him. If so I'm not sure the club has grounds to sack him as they would have known prior to his signature.
I woudn't want Lionel Messi at my club if he hit a woman let alone Danny ****ing Simpson. please log in to view this image
Agreed that we signed him with his hanging over his head. Strange one as i always think he seems like a nice person. Maybe we should actually think about offering him help?
Reading that article, the woman withdrew her statement and didnt want him prosecuted or am i wrong? I do think employers should try and support them often rather than sack them...
Whilst this is a horrendous crime and not condoned by anyone when it comes to sacking employees there is still a correct procedure that must be followed. We have our own Dennis Wise case to remind us. Im sure if they can get rid they will as I cant imagine our owners will be to thrilled to be associated with something like this.
That was something else if im right. The QPR lot will tell us, though wasnt that assault too? This new one was in Dec 2014, vile if it comes down to woman beating.
This is definatly to do with an incident since hes been here Thought he was an ok defender tbh, but no doubt his contracts going to be torn in half now. I heard that Cov like taking ex-cons.
No one thinks that we should stand by him and offer him all the help and support he needs to help any aggression problems which he has? Not necessarily saying that we should, but fans reactions to even a police caution always seem to be 'just sack them' rather than helping to support them. Take Manu Tuilagi for example - been punished by the police and england, whereas tigers (who will also punish him), see it as their role to now help him and give him that support to ensure that he never does it again. Just different viewpoints.
No. I've said before being a professional footballer comes with a lot of responsibilities (all part of the ridiculous wage they get), one of which is - like any employee - is to not break the law. Another is to be a positive role model to the young kids who will be the next generation of players. We can't criticise people like Livermore on one hand then support Simpson on the other.
I cant support Simpson i dont think Nigel Pearson has else how would you explain the fact he isnt even making the bench since this came into light? Even without this I think we wanted rid of him
This isn't exactly the same though as he assaulted a policeman, not a woman. You could say assaults assault no matter who its committed on, but thats not the world we live in. Tuilagi is also like the Suarez of Rugby, he'll get away with more and be more supported as hes a too valuable asset to lose, i know this also isn't fair. Its a sackable offence to anyone in that situation, i wouldn't expect my employer to support me through it and most of us aren't on the thousands a week like gansta says.
