I'm kinda hoping that MJ rested Danny Murphy yesterday, so that he can play against Chelsea tomorrow night Anyone know for sure that he's fit?

I presume he will come in for Ruiz, and Pog will come in for Kaka.

I think it will be Pog (if fit) for Ruiz, and if Danny plays it's for Diarra.

You can see Jol dropping Diarra after he scored against Bolton?

you cant play Diarra and Murphy - what happens to Dembele. tough decision. Id play Murphy personally and leave out Diarra.

I wouldn't be surprised if MJ started with the same team.

I'd start with Danny and bring the Pog on later in the game. Was it Chelsea at home last season that Clint missed a penalty in the last minute?

If Danny and Pog are fit then we should start with them. I'd prefer not to have Diarra vs Chelsea - He's not yet up to the pace/space awareness of the PL.

I didn't say that, I said that I don't think we should play Murphy and Diarra together. Several people (including me) spent this week discussing whether or not Jol would drop Duff after a goal against Norwich. It depends how much Jol wants Murphy back in the starting line up.

Agree. He really should play Murphy, who loves to turn it on against the 'big teams'.

The key to team selection is the Pog, of which there is no news fitness wise. If he is fit the team should pick itself; usual back lot, Murphy and Dembele, Kaca, Dempsey, Duff and the Pog.

If he is not, the combinations are many. Kasami should get a chance but I suspect not. Or Baird with Murphy, with Dembele and Dempsey moving forward. A more probable choice is Etuhu and Murphy, with the double Ds forward. And more ..

I guess we will have to wait and see.

Whoa Cottager - the quote you gave implies I said the opposite of what I actually said, you left out the words 'I don't think'! You don't work for Rupert Murdoch, do you?
