Danny Murphy says lfc would only have 2/3 players who would get into spurs side. The name of the game is compare the two sides and find the 3. ..
Gk: loris, no contest Rb: Clyne over walker any day. Lb: both are bang average imo. Spurs fans have long abused rose. I'd call it even Cb: Alderweireld Cb: vertonghen is his ego is in check. Sahko might get in CM: hmm deir or can. can even though he is a ball hog. CM: spurs have had several in but all have done more than our lot. Mason. Rw: lamella. Lfc have ****e in lallana Lw: eriksen without question ACM: coutinho or dembele easy couts despite being very inconsistent. St: Kane is very easy here. So.... That's my 3 with mention for sahko and the lbs being both ****. In short Murphy ain't far off imo.
You are pushing it with Can over Deir. Coutinho has the ability to get in there but may mess up their game as he tends to be a one man team.
There is not much difference between our squads apart from the fact Spurs have a match winner up front who regularly scores goals. If you swapped Benteke with Kane we'd be 5 points ahead of Spurs and people would be saying exactly the same about the Spurs team only having 2 or 3 players good enough for our team. Football is fickle like that.
They've won 9 league games, we've won 8, which includes an 8 game spell with a manager we sacked, and ignores that Benteke has been with us since July and Kane has been at Tottenham for 12 years
I agree with Lucaaas. If we had a quality front man we'd could be challenging but then the mancs and chavs could say the same thing...
It's only on current form mate. How many of our squad would have got into Leicester's team on performances this season just before Brod got sacked? Coutinho? How many Chelsea players have been good enough to get into Leicester's squad Spurs are doing well, but lets not get carried away. Lets see what happens when they hit their blip.
To be fair, Spurs and pochettino are doing a Great job and I think they're one of the favourites for top 4. Defensively, they're sound and they're scoring goals.
Wasn't it revealed that this type of injury is inoperable? He's going to have to live with it but he can enjoy a long career if managed correctly?
I think that's the difference. They've always looked good going forward but were a calamity in defence. This season they look solid enough at the back to get 4th. Poch really has done well tbf. I havent watched him a lot this season but I thought Eriksen would've really kicked on from last season and been one of the stars of this year.
