Yes, That CM, Danny Guthrie. <ok>

He was impressive against Blackburn and got a good goal, and he was class against Stoke, him and Cabaye controlled the center easily, and now against Everton, again he has impressed me, today he was box-to-box and gave his 500% and he was in one box and the other minute, he was in the other defending and he played some excellent passes too, I remember a few weeks ago, when I said, I couldn't care less what happens to him, but I'm eating my humble pie, cause he's been amazing lately, and call me crazy, but he is giving Cabaye and Tiote a ran for their money <ok>

    Long may this last!

Pains me to admit it cause I was very disappointed in him last year...
But now I reckon it's very harsh to drop him.
Which means Tiote could be on the bench when he's back from injury.

He was decent today... his work rate is his best attribute.

Looked like he was really playing for a place today, but I cant see him displacing Tiote.

Guthrie was great today, Cabaye was a big miss when he went off too. We started losing possession and control when the Guthrie-Cabaye partnership was split up.

His passing range is fantastic, his work rate is brilliant, he battles well and he's lost a bit of timber and is quite agile now. MotM today and you surely can't drop him.

I would say they are very good backups for our 2 starters and could come in a do a job when those 2 are having off days so all in all, its great depth and competition to have, isn't it! A headache I'm sure Alain Pardeaux is more than happy to have.

On a side note, I hope Marvs and Cabaye's injuries aren't too serious.

MotM for me as well. Excellent performance. I'm no longer dreading the ACoN.

Impressed with him today and Monday. Very decent player in the middle of the park.

    For Man City:

    ----------------Krul-------------
    Simpson----Saylor---Colo------Raylor
    Marv---Cabaye--Tiote--Guthrie---Jonas
    -----------------Ba------------------

I really do hope Obertan return's quickly, I think we really missed him today on that right wing!

Compared to Gosling, he's first team material. Wasn't convinced last season but now I think he's stepped up his game and can filt in easily for either Cabaye or Tiote ...

Same, especially as he had his best game against Stoke, real threat on the counter and gives us an outlet. Could be out for a month though so I doubt he will feature against either Manchester club.

Completely agree. Even though his end product isn't that good, his pace wins us space up the field and relieves pressure on the defense ...
