I have just read an older thread. Where there were a few questions asked about whether our Danny was or would be good enough to play in the premier league.

Well with a few more games gone have any of you decided you were wrong and changed your mind. He has been superb for us, the goals have started to come and to me he is looking a bargain at 3.5 million.

So lets here your views of our record signing now.

Well done Danny Graham, keep it up. <applause>

Nobody got getter value in the transfer market than us with Graham & Vorm . Most have throw there money away on wishful thinking whereas we've invested really . A good buy in the January window along with a loan will keep the team in the Premier with money to spare & more money rollin in next season . Grass root football will be the big winners in the long run

Agreed, absolutely. Graham is coming along, quietly, steadily, getting it done.

Pleased to say that I never lost faith in Danny Boy. You don't score the number of goals that he did last season and then dry up completely, whatever level you play at.

It was always going to be a matter of time; the time it would take him to adjust to the higher quality of defender; the time it would take him to develop an understanding with his team mates who, like him, were also getting to grips with the higher level of football. In short, a learning curve for all concerned.

However, it's not just the goals that are pleasing me. Danny has a commendable work ethic and helps create goals as well as scoring them. Well chuffed with him and I'm sure he'll get better.

Yes, I think I posted that I was beginning to worry about Mr Graham. Who wouldn't? Some glaring misses at the start of the season and that can't be denied. Seem to recall some more hysterical voices (no I won't say his name!) saying that some time in the Reserves was called for.

Good players don't become bad overnight and I was sure he just needed a confidence boost. That's now come with some good goals. So chuffed for him as he comes across as a great guy and one who will do well for us this season. Well done, Danny! If it wasn't for a dazzling display by Allen on Saturday you'd have been my motm. <applause>

The boy was genuinely unlucky at the start. He's finally starting to get the run of the ball now. Fully deserved Danny-boy for your work-rate alone. Your not top scorer in the Championship & able to create finishes like you did against Real Betis, if your poor....

I'd say Norwich did pretty well with Morrison for 2.1m as well tbh. He also seems to be settling well in the Prem (good to see a Welshman playing at the top level too). That being said I imagine they're not so pleased with the reported 3m they spent on Vaughan. Overall I'm well pleased with our transfers.

I am also pleased to see DG getting a run of goals as it makes all those 'opposition fans' look pretty stupid now when they said he has no PL experirence and will be no good etc, same as Grant Holt but they are both doing the business <ok>

We have done extremely well in transfers in the summer. Morison as mentioned above, Brad Johnson (free from Leeds), now being tipped for an England call up, Anthony Pilkington from Huddersfield - 3 goals so far and looking a class act with some superb crosses added to his game.

We knew his injury history so only ourselves to blame if he doesn't play often. The few run out's he has had, he has looked very good but sadly seems to be made of glass.

Norwich done as well in transfers IMO, but not better . Can Graham score from beyond 6 yards ? If players like Gower can loft those perfectly weighed passes to Graham in the box over defenders but before the keeper can get there or Graham continues to run into the box with reckless abandon trying to toe the ball into the net , he may not have to score from anywhere but 6 yards out !

As some of us said at the time danny needed a rest on the bench to take the pressure off him, how right we were...<ok>

That goal was a rob the last man and go in one-on-one against the keeper. A lovely goal!

I am contrasting more with the likes of Scotland / Dobbie / Curtis (for you old timers) who have the ability to receive the ball find or create half a yard and let one fly from out side the box. These are players that are always dangerous. Nothing wrong with being a clinical finisher from close in and he certainly has the touch and finesse to be deadly there - but that doesn't work so well if we're not getting the ball consistently into those areas where he can do damage.

I kept faith with DG , but it was totally fair for people to question his abilities so nobody should feel daft for doing that . It was playing on everybodies mind so its totally understanable for fans to question his ability.

I think our signings have been patchy/decent, i wasnt 100% sure of routeledge and lita signing for us but i think they will be solid if not spectacular,we needed pace in the team and we got that, our budget dictated what kind of players we could go for so no complaints really. Kemy has looked good this season and i have a feeling that luke moore will play an important part for us (dont ask me why i just think he has supreme talent its just the right motivation that may be lacking) so overall bucks signings have been ok.

Danny graham has done well in every game he has played , he lacked goals and should have scored against wigan, sunderland and arsenal but fair play to him he never seemed to let his head drop. If we had wayne rooney up front he wouldnt have got much more than 3 goals as our final 3rd passing is pretty poor IMO.

Mark gower played a cracking ball for DG s goal but we dont see alot direct passes into danny boy so he is really living off scraps . well done to him for doing such a great job !

Here I go again....that's why Dobbie's a better option imo. His lay off play and through balls can be exquisite. Just my opinion.
