How did he play yesterday? (I didn't see the match). I'd written him off as a waste of space and had the misfortune to see him playing for Middlesbrough last season. He was dire, but has he turned it round? Is he a good fit with Defoe?

I was there and kept an eye on him as I slated him previously.

He's much more mobile than I remember and is good at dragging defenders away from Defoe.

He put a shift in yesterday and was knackered when he came off, that's a start.

Can't stand the bloke but at least he runs about unlike Fletcher.

In the summer I want him and Fletcher sold.

I get that he's putting more effort in, I've noticed it myself. Putting more effort in though is still leaving him short of the standard required to play in the Premier League, Altidore put himself about but never looked like scoring and missed the opportunities that came his way, like Graham.

Defoe is showing how it's done.

In all his appearances since he has came back from loan he has looked a different player to me..He is working hard for the team, holding the ball up well and has been very unfortunate not to score..If he keeps his current form up and starts to score a few goals, he could be like having a new signing..

I thought he was very good yesterday. Held and kept the ball well, brought others in well and his movement was great.

Struggled to get into the game really and had little influence, didn't do anything wrong, just didn't do much neither. More mobile than Fletch though and as Smug I think said, pulls defenders out of position.

I knew we needed a striker before deadline. Not won over by DG or Fletch at the moment. I'd still look to replace those two and Wickham over the coming windows.

    Let
You never know some obscure club may want to take him in exchange for a top quality striker!

Guys were saying the same about Jozy though. We need more from them than that.
