Remember when almost everyone on here was calling for us to sign Danny Graham, 1 goal in 40 games, then there was C Makail Smith what has he done?
Hooper's done nothing. Jelavixc nothing,Proves what we know doesn't it.

I didn't want any of them, although I think Jelavic is good enough to make an impression at this level.

I still think Hooper would have done well for us in the Championship. That's his level. A Norwich mate of mine was adamant he'd do the business for them. He has significant egg on his face.......

I admit, I was one of those who wanted us to sign Danny Graham and was also disappointed to miss out on Gary Hooper.

Charlie Austin took a short while to find his form, but boy what a signing. Still hungry and with something to prove.

All the players mentioned have been victim of a crazy market ... I agree none of them good enough for us a club on a accelerated fast track dream over the last timeframe.

Austin looks handy but again I put him in the same group.

Remy on the other hand miles better than other of these ... and we will probably sell him.

I blame two transfers in UK football that did this and pushed a panic button to all clubs. Torres to Chelsea and Carroll to West Ham .... 82 Million quid? and that filtered down making ordinary players into superstars. That Hooper for example is no where good enough. Michu for the Swans looked good and then faded and became injured.

European leagues hold the answer at the moment especially the French league ... full of talent

Most of them are playing at a higher level for struggling teams, they arent going to bang in 20 goals a season.

I'd take any of them over zamora and Johnson.

You'd hope he'd make more than an impression at Championship level. He's got 3 in 6 for us, and 17 in 47(18) since he joined Everton. If you consider sub appearances are usually no more than 30 minutes it's equivalent of about a 1 in 3 strike rate at PL level.
