Good luck to Danny tonight and the season. I guess the biggest compliment to him is to acknowledge what a large gap he has left behind! Sean Dyche needs to work on our forward play as we are struggling to retain possession up front - the ball keeps coming back too quickly. Quite simply Danny was the difference up front - any of our other forwards could play with him, and we need to work hard to make up for his loss IMO.
Cheers. He's a great signing on the face of it. Has taken time to settle in during pre-season but his finish against Real Betis [a deft little dink over the keeper] was fantastic. I think we're all pretty hopeful - but maybe not tonight. Who knows? Good luck to Watford this season.
Nice sentiments, thanks a lot. We're hoping he can kick on again and help us secure our premiership survival and it's pleasing to hear he's used to retaining possession as part of a teams system.
where's the vest in that clip??! Yep, looks completely wrong in white, but he'd be wearing it if he was still with us, for away games ...good luck Danny, Swansea got a good'un.
Well said you Golden Boys, great spirit indeed, now let's clear one thing up though, Danny boy looks superb in white, and you know it!...................... please log in to view this image
So, DragonPhilJack, how many Swans players would you say would look good to you in blue shirts and white shorts? We have the same aversion to white (L*t*n's colours) as you have to C*rd*ff's colours.
There's probably a few players we could lend to our lower-league neighbours so they'd get some good experience playing in a first team... but methinks the Cardiff fans wouldn't be too happy about that on the whole... Ungrateful bunch
I want Danny to get a debut goal. I don't want his boss to do too well too quickly. I want City to keep a clean sheet for the fun league. I don't want to encourage City's style of play. So... many... factors...
More importantly, it's Crewe 1-0 Swansea in the Fun League. Not bad for a team that's 23rd in League Two on goals scored.
TBH Whilst Swansea weren't bad on the ball they were cut open a few times pretty easily as you would expect. That new striker for Man City looked quality but then he did cost over 30 million and on 250k a week! Not much chance for Danny tonight but hopefully do well in the games where Swansea will need to win. Man City have such an exciting attacking line-up its a shame they go so defensive against the other top sides.
Damn he got a true master class today. But seriously, he barely got a touch tonight so hard to judge him.
It was strange not to see DG being in the thick of everything...i hope he gets his chance in the next few games to show everyone what he's made of..
