Looks like Danny Graham is going to swansea for around 3.5 million, I know that the watford site is devastated as is norwich and QPR I was just wandering what your fans thought of it. Good luck in the prem
Personally if the deal goes through he will be an asset to us here at Swansea p.s cheers for the wishes
Thanks for the good wishes, I know how you are feeling about losing players to other clubs, I hope the money gained will help your club in the same way as money from Wigan helped us, best wishes for next season.
Didn't he set some kind of all time record at Watford for most games in a row scoring at least a goal in , could be wrong . Hope he's ours , but am waiting on official news . Key signing for us right away & into the future , if delivered .
great player if he signed, its all down to a medical and personal terms, if he passes and agrees then he will be the no1 striker
Goldenboy1993 if it becomes official, we will be very pleased to say the least after losing Borini, and it's a hard one for you boys, we all hate losing great players from our club, hope the £3.5 M comes in handy, all the very best for next season, and thanks for the good wishes!........... please log in to view this image
Be a good signing i hope, a little bit worried that he is unproven at prem level. There have been so many strikers that have been awesome in ccc level and not cut it in prem scotland, nugent, ebanks blake, chopra ,kitson etc. It would have perfect if he could have had time to Get used to our system of play and built up his goal tally. Having said that we have gone for the best we can afford and i trist buck s judgement here. Feeling worry for watford if they loose him but if he does come i hope he does you and us proud in the prem league. Credit to the swans board for having the bottle to splash the cash and back the manager
Hope he fits the bill, if he comes. Just can't help but feel we'll be comparing him to Borini, rather than judging him on his own merits, coming so soon after Fabio. Fabio was so us & seemed the complete center forward, especially for our style!! I was absolutely gutted with his departure, so just hope Graham well & truly fills those big boots....
He certainly proved himself this season and deserves his chance at the big time. I think he'll fit in nicely to our style of play, fingers crossed he'll sign for us.
After watching lots, and lot, of videos of him scoring a ton of goals, I am now most excited. The boy looks quality! Bit more of a presence than Fabio by the looks of it too, so he can hold the ball up, but boy that guy can finish!
If it comes off and he signs, will be a real notch for swansea. It is no coincidence thet Norwich, West london Raners and WBA were chasing him. they see him as premier league quality. i believe he will score goalsfor us and scotts i agree he will provide a good presence up front. Please lets hope no one gets on his back if he doesnt score in the first 5 mins of the first game. if he signs i for one will be a happy man.
I do worry that given he´s a 3.5mil signing people are going to expect great things straight away... but luckily I´m confident he, and we, will do great things straight away!
If he signs for sure , it will be nice to see Carlisle get half a million with the 15% sell on attached to Graham
Personally i'm really excited about this signing (if all goes well). In reality we were never going to get a "Proven" Prem striker for £3.5m and without silly wages so I think this will be a good signing. At the risk of being shot down by some, Borini wasn't a "proven" striker at any level and I think he was subject to less scrutiny because he came from Chelsea. Anyway, here's a video just to help people get a grip on what Graham can bring to the table.
That was the video I spent an hour buffering, and the grin on my face at the end was worth the wait! Looks the business to be fair... great first touch too.
I think from that video alone you can learn a lot about him as a player! Great first touch and first time strike, gets his head on the ball, can volley it, scores from balls over the top and an awful lot coming on the floor and running on. Looks an absolute class act, and you can even point out that he scored against us at the Liberty... He scored 2 against QPR at Loftus Road and we didn't score against QPR in both games. I'm not saying this means he is guaranteed to become a prolific striker but the record is there. 24 league goals for a team that finished 14th...
