It's one of those where £3.5m punted to guarentee £100m+ for reaching the Premier League and all those future parachute payments etc seems small beer or at least a risk worth taking.

Graham would actually be my preferred striker if we are to buy one.

Doesn't seem much point buying a hot shot from L1 or L2 as they would be discarded if we went up. It would also be a retrograde step.

We should only buy players who are patently better than what we have now other wise we move sideways.

I say, be bold, and go for him.

Id say go for it too. He fitted in well with a good Swansea side that passed the ball around well and scored regularly in the PL. Dare i say it but we have passed well this season and aren't miles away from swansea style football. I think he would fit in well!

F*ck me, if we could get him for 3.5 that'd be a frigging steal, the lad was fantastic leading the line for Swansea last season and 15 goals in the prem is not to be sniffed at. Sadly though there would be prob 4-5 prem teams who'd happily take him so I don't think he'll drop down a division

Allams said they would sub such a wage for half a season to make that final push.

As Fraizer Campbell will be on at least £30k and Morison will be on at least £25k a week and all three of these strikers are under consideration, I don't think £30k has been declared too much by the owners. If it was why would SB have stated that they will be considering signing these players? It's not like nobody knows how much they are on.

Graham would probably be the perfect signing. He can head a ball, actually score goals - which consists of getting on the end of crosses, and has played in a fluid passing team like ourselves and been successful.

The Allams and Bruce will realise we have got to 2nd place without a clinical striker, so spending a bit more on one shouldn't be done with reluctance.

Might get Graham on a loan until the end of the season with option to buy if we go up, like the Elmo deal.

We'll get a striker that's not been in the media that much....FC is my bet. In fact Sunderland could get a pile of cash of us based on the players SB wants (FC, Elmo & Meyler). DG will look to stay in the PL I reckon.

He'll do for me, thank you very much.

He would be coming to a club in the top two, and it would be against clubs struggling in the Premier.
Would depend on where he fancies playing, plus we got some brilliant coverage in the League Show.

I think this is the likeliest option from our point of view.

I still think SBs first port of call will be Slumberland for you know who, but I think that once negotiations start it will quickly become obvious that a deal will be very difficult. I think SB will then look to Swansea and Norwich.

As to which is better, we'll I think Morison is better in the air but that Graham is more mobile and a better finisher.

    Toss a coin???

I think Danny Graham wants to move back up North too.

Actually he says he doesn't want to sit around and pick up his money but not play.

This all depends on whether Laudrup wants him and (as with the other thread) he is clearly looking to bring in striking alternatives of his own.

As Steve Bruce said yesterday, Swansea wont have any problems getting back the £3.5m they paid for him especially as he scored 13 PL goals last season. I still think its Steve Morison now from Norwich as he will be pused down the pecking order once they sign CMS from Brighton. twt though.

Danny Graham does indeed want a move back up north. Both Newcastle and Sunderland are interested in him. New castle especially will soon have the need for a PL goal scorer as Demba Ba is now talking with Chelsea after Daniel Sturridges move to Liverpool. The merri-g0-round has started up.

Short term i am still wanting Kevin Phillips. Proven in the area we need most,, in and around the penalty box. Also prepared to get hurt to score a goal or two.
