What a steal, what an absolute bargain! I`m gutted always knew he was going ,but thought we would have at least got a fair price for him! Proves what we thought though, new owner is a joke! New board members ditto! Looks like we will be relying on more academy gems ....again! I can only wonder How long Malky is going to stand having his team dismantled before he looks for pastures new !(My guess is Forest)! Good luck to the swans you have just done your best bit of business!
What exactly did you expect? £10m? He's proven at championship level but that doesn't mean he's worth an astronomical fee.
Norway wat did u want most of us were saying 4 would be good, i think the board showed a few balls, it started at 2.5 remember, they made a million, plus apparently his min release clause was 3.5
If you look at the offers knocked back for Long and snodgrass, I was hoping for about 5m quid for the championship top scorer! over 40 goals in 2 seasons ( with a young inexperienced and at the beginning struggling side! If you look at what CMS has gone for who is 2 yrs older than DG and didnt do all that well in the championship! I feel 4m as a bare minimum! Why stop the auction half way through! especially when you have 3 or 4 interested parties! It makes no sense! Still hoping this falls through , although somehow I doubt it ! The swans have got a great player at a very cheap price!
Norway, Are you annoyed that you can buy a box of celebrations for more than the bid that's been accepted?
Graham is a cracking player! loved the way watford played last year, they were unplayable at times! hope your able to replace him if he does go!
Graham would be worth more if he was a few years younger. For an unproven player as far as the PL goes, £3.5m is a very fair price. Personally, I think it is a great deal for Watford...I'd be more concerned about the £1m for Buckley, what happened there?!?
DG is only 25 the best is yet to come , Bucko had 3 0r 4 good games with us and a fair few bad ones! He is either a match winner or finds it hard to co-ordinate his legs!!! More to come from him ,I would think ,but not prem quality! He also is rumoured to have a bust up with MM and also struggles to last 90 mins about 60 or 70 mins then has to be subbed! I think 1m is a good price for him especially as we have Matty Whichelow ,who imo is a much better player!
1m is a good price for Buckley As for Danny Graham - the proof is in the fact that no other club even came in to match the 3.5m Swansea bid so it seems we did get the best price possible at the time. We may have got more if we held out till the end of the transfer window but then we wouldn't have time to react. I know there is doubt that we will spend but that is another story. Interesting though that I read that Danny had verbally agreed to join and that the formalities of a medical and signing of a contract will take place after he returns from holiday so there may be still some milage in this saga. Also the comments that he was thrilled to be joining the Swans (I'm sure he is but...) were attributed to him by a third party.
