Hi guys, A few different sources reporting that a loan deal has been agreed between Saints and Bolton for Danny Fox until January where they will apparently (source: Sky Sports) have the option to make the deal permanent. Link: http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11672/8951377? Thoughts?
http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11672/8951377? I'm slightly surprised by this. That must leave Targett as our back up left back. Bold move to let him go.
Small squad gets smaller, but in all honestly there really aren't many situations where I'd rather play Fox over any other option. Still think that we need another leftback, but one closer to Clyne/Shaw in ability.
Haven't seen him too often (we need to find a way to stream all the Academy matches, dammit), but the couple times I have he looked to be a bit of polish away from being the next Shaw.
Good luck to him if this is true. I know he's got his critics but he's played his part in our recent success.
Seems that Poch rates Targett over Fox? Clyne can play on the left if Shaw is injured and Chambers has shown he is capable of filling in on the right if Clyne is injured or covering Shaw. If both Clyne and Shaw got injured then we could have Targett and Chambers playing, a bit inexperienced maybe but you can see why Fox has gone elsewhere for first team football.
Clyne can, of course, play left back so could move there if Shaw is injured, and Chambers will cover him. Then, when Targett is ready we have plenty of options. Not to mention Jack Cork...
Bold move but a good one. He would realistically not be playing much if at all this season. Good move for his career if he plays and he can certainly do a job for Bolton Edit: Bollocks, didnt see the other thread
