After going through the routine "one game at a time" speech Fox went on to say this about the Reading match: "If we can win on Saturday, we give ourselves a great chance going into the Palace game, get it another good away performance, like against hull and Millwall and...you never know what could happen on the Friday night. I don´t want to say too much but in the back of our minds it´s there and it´s in our own hands. Any team in the whole league would switch positions with us now..." Good to see that the players are aware that if we do get maximum points in our next two games and West Ham lose to either against Barnsley or Birmingham (more likely to be Birmingham) then that would put us 9 points clear of them going into the Reading fixture, meaning we would clinch promotion on Friday! (Not mathematically but realistically as we have a far superior goal difference). Obviously we´ll take it one game at a time but it´s going to be a very exciting week!! COYR!
Impressed with his interview, there was a certain arrogance and swagger about our chances of promotion. Adkins has them well drilled!
We need loads of goals tomorrow as our goal difference is being eaten away while Reading and West Dam's is improving.
He spoke very well I thought. He'll be absolutely crucial tomorrow - we need those set-pieces to be spot on.
