Danny East hit two guys, hard (injuring them). He received a conviction (suspended for 12 months) and a Community Service Order. He now has a criminal record. He apologised. Apart from the fact that he's a City player, it didn't involve the club. I doubt that he's a destabilizing influence on the other players.

Jimmy, on the other hand, hasn't committed a criminal offence. His behaviour has a destabilising effect on the club. It certainly seemed to, with regard to Ash once he fell under JB's influence. And the (rumoured) Slovenian hoohah will, no doubt, have taken place with an audience of young (impressionable?) players.

How can you maintain that it doesn't matter what Jimmy does, as it's all off-stage?

Danny East was by the sounds of it provoked into giving someone a dig. A one off mistake that he deeply regrets.
Something he can be forgiven for .

Bullard has repeatedly taken the piss and shows not one ounce of remorse or guilt for years of arse hole like behaviour.
For ****s sake don't drag out you're 'it's all hearsay' bollocks because it's wearing thin.
Bullards behaviour is unforgivable .

I'm sure the club are very disappointed with East's actions. However, he's a young lad who will hopefully learn from his mistakes and put this behind him. If he regrets what he has done as the press report then hopefully a lesson has been learned.

Answer: a) He was unlucky enough to actually do some damage and b) he got caught.
