"I’m extremely proud of what I have achieved throughout my career and football has allowed me to play in leagues across four different continents, including the English Premier League, and those experiences will stay with me forever," Allsopp said in a statement.

"There have been many highlights along the way, and obviously the great success we enjoyed will always stay with me, but I feel very proud to have been a part of such an exciting period for not only this club, but the A-League and our sport in Australia.

"Now is the right time to move onto the next chapter of my life."

Good luck to him, I loved watching him and Big Ben together.

Never realised he played for Man City or in the PL, It says on his Wiki page that Man City were in the 1st Division which would now be the Championship, so when did he play in the PL?

1999/2000 - Promoted to the Premier League - Charlton Athletic, Manchester City and playoff winners Ipswich Town.

He only actually played in one Premier League game, a 4-1 loss to West Ham.
