Is Danns the player we have needed to cement the midfield? It would appear that both Kilkenny and Elliot hit some form against Boro, is it that Danns's arrival has spurred them on as they fear their future/place? Or is he what was needed to put it all together. What is the view of him (Danns) signing at the end of this loan spell and what price? COYR's
He's had a single game for us, so it'd be stupid to pin our hopes to him. Danns must play again so we can properly assess his role in the side. If he continues to dictate then I can't see why we shouldn't sign him.
He's on big wages (around 20k I believe). Is that likely to be a stumbling block if you decided try and sign him on a perm?
Well there are many players who will have to adjust their demands a long way downwards because of the Financial Fair Play rules that come into effect from next season. Perhaps Danns will realise that a three year contract at a quarter of the money is better than no contract at all.
He may well be willing to lower his demands. Seems his main priority is to just be playing regularly. It sounds like he's enjoying his time with you so he may well want to stay on.
Wanted us to sign him last year before he went to Leicester we were rumoured to be in for him. If that was true he knows that he is wanted by the club in general. A real pain when we played against him, and based on the fact most have seen him before we have a bit more knowledge of him than 2 games. That freekick he scored against us was sublime that most of us secretly clapped when we saw it. Him and Scammel tore us apart that day. Would he lower his demands or would he knowing with FFP coming into the equation haggle a 6 month loan then taking the paycut? But would love us to sign him, he's even bringing the best out of that whinging Aussie and a few on here know what I think of him
I dont think a transfer fee will be too difficult Just the wages. We might even let him go for nothing to help you cover the wages
Proud your midfield must be something special if they are all better than Danns. A quality player would love us to sign him up on reduced wages.
As he gets match fit, he could turn out to be the link that finally connects the defence, midfiled and attack and gets us playing the "joined up" football we have all been craving for sooooooo long. If so, sign him up...
