http://sport.stv.tv/football/scotti...-neil-danns-wants-champions-league-football/? So lets move on, his head has been turned. No approach but his agent will hang back 'just in case'.
So Rangers haven't even contacted him then. So much for a done deal and his agent sounds like a right ****er.
More annoying is the fact Danns isn't prepared to make a quick decision on his future, if he wants to go to Rangers then for god's sake go, rather than leaving x amount of clubs waiting. Would be disappointed if he didn't sign, but i'd sooner see someone here who wants to play for the team than someone who doesn't.
Ally McCoist has already said he'd like to sign Danns, so even though there's been no approach yet, im sure it will happen soon. so as John said, time to move on. i'll say what ive said before.. if we knew he was a great player who would transform our midfield & whole team... we should have bought him in january for a fee.
And as I said last time you posted it, we tried and were rejected, as they were in the relegation zone and he was their best player.
Hullborn, when you posted it last time other posters told you, we did try to sign him in January, but Palace were not interested as he was their best player and they were in the bottom 3 so they did not want to sell. If he wants to go to Rangers then so be it, as others have said time to move on.
As soon as I heard Rangers were interested, I severely doubted he'd even discuss a deal with us. Would have been great but we'll have to look elsewhere unfortunately
I hate all this Champion League bullshit. Everyone including Rangers knows that they won't even get out of the group stage, it's pathetic. As usual it's about money not the promise of playing 6 games in Europe. Rangers will pay more, that's why he's interested.
Nobody is saying he's stupid, it's logical to see why he'd want to go somewhere where he could play European football. We're just disappointed on probably missing out on one of our top summer targets.
we offered a crappy transfer fee! we should have paid what it took to sign him. i mean ffs, we signed mclean for over £1m and had failed bids for other players too. i just cant work out why we wouldn't go all out to sign him, thats all im saying
You don't get it do you?? Palace were not willing to sell Danns for any fee in January, barring an absolutely ridiculous offer.
Palace said he wasn't for sale at any price, as no Championship club would offer enough to compensate them for relegation, they stayed up so they were probably right. We spent £4m in January, if we could have got Danns, I'm sure we would have done, criticising the club for not pulling that one off is ****ing ridiculous.
dont panic mr mainwaring!!!!!!!! plenty of time left lads..if he signs brill....if not onto the next target
He could go to Aberystwyth and get bloody European football. His agent should be hawking him round the lesser Premiership clubs and more ambitious Championship ones if he has any real ambition other than sitting it out in a league that's about third division standard.
