Don't like the player, or the money being quoted?

Very good defender indeed, but £10 million is way too high.

I'd say he's marginally the lesser of the 2 (meaning Johnson), and i wouldn't pay more than £6million for Johnson.

Think they're floating the 10M figure in the hopes of getting 6 - 8?

    For 6M - 8M I'd snatch him up.

I'd wave £6-8 towards Johnson mate.

I think he's a better all round player, and he's calm on the ball.

Him and Titus/Turner would be rock solid.

Dann is a good defender though, no doubt, Birmingham had several quality players, it highlights the perils of a small squad and a cup run.

No arguments about Johnson. But, would be very nice to get either one.

You're right about the Cup run. Did Birmingham in I think.

Great defender and only 24 I believe? I think £8m is about right for him, but at todays inflated prices I wouldn't be surprised if we did pay the £10m. One point to note: I read earlier that Steve Bruce is a little unsure on whether to go for him or not, because apparantly it was a pretty horrendous hamstring injury that the lad picked up last season, that kept him out of the Birmingham side for so long.

    So,

In summary, we'd be happy with either! Ha.

I maintain that Samba would be the finest signing we could make, guess we need Arsenal to get Cahill in for us to have a hope in hell on that score.

I got summarily ridiculed for suggesting exactly that (Cahill to Gooners, Samba to us) yesterday. Consensus was that once Arsenal showed interest, we had no shot, as it would a move too far down the status ladder. I'm not so sure. If Cahill goes to Arsenal, AND City, Spurs and Liverpool don't approach, who the hell is left other than Villa and us?

    Agree totally mate.

    ONLY Arsenal have shown interest.

It doesn't look like City are going to make much of a move this summer, strikes me they fancy a pacey right winger, not much else.

Spurs are not spending, self confessed.

Fair play, if Arsenal move, he's gonna go, and who can blame him, with a player so committed and strong, they may have finished the job and got a trophy last season, but this is a player wo in January said he didn't wish to play for the club again, he WILL move, and i think we'd be an attractive proposition to him.

Blackburn seem to be deliberately aproaching players they know they won't get, i stand by to be proved wrong, but i don't think the owners have the capital to build them, and under Keen, i think they are in a relegation fight next season, big time.

Is anyone else getting atad concerned buying all these players from a team that got relegated?

100% No from me. After spending a shed load on Wickham, Id only consider a 10million bid for a proven striker. Defence needs sorting, but perfectly suitable choices are out there, for less. Dann's inflated fee is down to hype and everyone being told he is worth 10million so much, now he actually is.
