Potentially a crucial signing. Really hope this deal happens, would explain why Wallace didn't travel with the team to Asia, he will apparently be part included in the deal as a loan option.

Mikel to Monaco is the rumour here in Nice, go for it Obi. Undervalued and wrongly used at Chelsea. Double the money, tax free, better food, better weather, Rose de Provence 10 Euros a bottle, Falcao up front, JT possibly at the back, no brainer surely.

Mikel is off, Luiz will barely play there, Oscar CAM. You left out De Bruyne, Chalobah and McEachran too.

If Oscar is playing CAM, then there are only 2 other places available. Can't see him playing in a front 3?

Eh? He played in a front three throughout the whole of last season.

    Bruyne/Rossi/Ramires

All the makings of a great midfield of 3!

I've only ever seen De Bruyne play further forward but I know Oscar has played deeper before. As for Chalobah, I'm sure he'll go out on loan again McEachran's probably for sale if anyone wants him. Anyway, I was just having a laugh, we've stockpiled midfielders in the past too but they were a bit cheaper and not half as good :(

Think he's awful there personally! He was played in the middle in the CL and was fantastic so hope Jose sticks him there.

I know you were :D and I think Chalobah will be here next season tbh.

We were thinking of selling Mikel to you in exchange for Walker, seeing as Mikel's your favourite player :emoticon-0116-evilg

Really? I think having regular PL experience, even for half a season, can have a big help in players development before they're properly ready to compete in the first team for a top club. When you look at Lukaku's first season compared to his second it looks pretty much wasted. Wilshere even went to Bolton and came back a better player!

Ramires - De Rossi - De Bruyne or Oscar ha a great look to it, but dont rule out Van Ginkel getting some game time in there

Mata - Lukaku - Hazard in front of them could be great, if Mata cn re-adapt to being a wide man

For me there's no difference between top end of Championship and midtable/lower end Premier League nowadays. I can see Chalobah staying and possibly being loaned out in January if first team opportunities become more available elsewhere.

The big problem Lukaku had was that he was signed in August so he didn't have a full pre-season and was out of favour with AVB + he was overweight and lacked the fitness required at this level. The club as a whole wasted a year of his career and development, he should have been out on loan straight away. He has to improve a lot tactically, but he's still comfortably better than 80% of the strikers in this league already, IMO.

A front 3 as in 4-3-3. He played in 3 behind a striker, leaving how many places for midfield behind?
