I have been very impressed by Sturridge, not just on the pitch but off it. Always smiling, active squad member, talks brilliantly to the press, seems to lead all the fun and games, he loves taking photograph and a team selfy and he has a good clean cut reputation. When you see the Enland squad together he always seems to be in the middle. I can also tell he is loving every second of this world cup. Sturridge also came across very well in a recent LFC TV show with kids. He seems like a great character. This new England generation will need its captain. Can that Captain be Sturridge?
i see it being either hart or rooney. (they will play in the next world cup at least, so that's a good 4 yrs ish) not my choice personally, but i reckon it will be one of them 2. i would say its dangerous having a keeper as captain as like with cassilias he was undroppable even when ****e, but we don't have a decent number 2 keeper do we? (well yet anyway)
Can't see any of them as Captains. Lallana despite being club captain is too inexperienced and doesn't really strike me as a captain even for Soton. It'll end up being Rooney, which is terrible as it'll make him undroppable. Only other choices would be Jag or Hart and neither of those two fill me with confidence.
It'll either be Hart or Rooney - nailed on. I don't want either, but it's a cert - probably the latter imo.
Should give Cap'n Birdseye a run out, even if he's gash at least a fish finger meal might give Rooney a bit more motivation/energy
I actually like him when I see him in interviews, just wish he'd tone down the arrogance on the pitch a bit
