I said it before, and i'll say it again, this guy is the real deal. He's dominating his team mate (Liuzzi has been driving pretty well this season too), and just seems at ease with the sport, and with the car, rightly dubbed by Miggins "The Camouflaged Bathtub". If he can adjust to a pile of trash like the HRT this quickly, imagine how he'd fare in a decent car? I feel Williams and Renault may be taking some interest, as he's not certain to get the Toro Rosso seat (suprisingly)

Opinion on Ricciardo? - He's good.

I think he's currently justifying his seat and may be laying a good claim for nominee on future shopping lists; and has had a better start to his F1 career than Senna in my opinion.

Wait until we see him against Alguersuari, then I'll judge him.

    EDIT
I think everyone's now guessing that Buemi is the one that is probably going to lose his seat.

Well he's beaten Luizzi 6 out of 8 GP's he's been in, so I would say a pretty solid year already for Daniel and deserves a shot at one of the Toro Rosso drivers.

Well he deserves the shot, but will he get it? Red Bull work in mysterious ways.

Buemi and Alguersuari are doing ok for Torro rosso, both belong on F1, and are still v young (Alguersuari is still the youngest driver on the grid). One of them will take Webbers place and Ricciardo will get his chance in an actual F1 car, for next year he'll probably be sharing his seat with a loofa and plastic duck again.

as to the Senna ricciardo comparisons anyone else notice how alike they look?

He's doing very well in a rubbish car. A likeable guy and I've noticed lately that Brundle is taking some notice of him as well at the end of every GP, always saying "Ricciardo AGAIN beats Liuzzi", so I'm sure the other teams will as well. Should get a shot at STR next year as Marko likes him. Which does surprise me.

He's certainly good on paper but it's a shame we never get to see him in action on TV. I'm less certain than others that he'll replace Buemi at Toro Rosso: they seem to be coming together very well as a team now and I think they'd be sensible to build on that with the team as it is. And Marko likes Buemi too, fortunately for him. Riccardio may have to wait for 2013, if someone else hasn't snapped him up by then.

So far so good for Riccardio, that's about all I can say at the moment because of the car he's in. He seems to be doing everything right, beating his teammate, not causing pileups etc. So he'll be interesting to watch.

The way the junior Alguersuari dominated Buemi this weekend and has shown flashes of brilliance this season has confirmed his seat. As for Buemi I think his days are numbered and I cant think of anything noteable about his carear... Jaime and Danial for STR. and the french guy (vergne?) will get a seat at HRT or Virgin

This guy is talented and deserves to be in a Torro Rosso next year. He will embarrass Alguersuari and should be the one that takes Webber's position when he leaves Red Bull.

So far he's made a strong start to his career but because we've seen so little of him during the races it's hard to see how good he really is. My initial impressions are positive and a season at Torro Rosso next year will show us how talented he is.

They should put Ricciardo and Vergne in the Toro Rosso for next season. Buemi and Alguersuari and not very good and will not do anything in F1 so you may as well get rid of them now and replace them with drivers who might have something.

No idea why but I've got a soft spot for Alguersuari, if you look at the record books his name appears more than you would think. Not saying it makes him any good, but I think he's done enough to keep his drive for next year.

well, mifune, I'd say Alguersuari and Buemi, who are both 6 years Senna's junior, have performed pretty well considering. Both score points regularly in a car that shouldn't really score any, it's not as good as the McLaren, Ferrari, RBR,Mercedes, RENAULT or the Force India, yet they both consistently score, Alguersuari's record since he got his ass chewed is pretty impressive, and he now leads the much fancied Di Resta in the standings.

Hes a good driver, unsure yet if he's the next Vettel but he would certinly be as good as Webber in the Red Bull!

How can you say that both drivers score points but their car is not good enough to score points? They have both been in F1 in a constant team for over two years now and I have not seen anything in either of them that would suggest that they are capable of doing anything of note in F1. Sure they get the odd decent result because of strategy or luck and even the occasional decent drive, but that is all. In my opinion they will never win races while Ricciardo and Vernge could have potential to do so.

EDIT: Just to clarify; I am not saying they are bad drivers just nothing special while Ricciardo and Vernge could be.

so basically, when a driver you like does well it's skill, badly it's his car or strategy, and a driver you don't like the reverse is true. Alguersuari has driven well since monaco, where he was unfortunate to be caught up in the accident caused by Sutil hitting the armco, in Spa he qualified well, only to be taken out by Senna at before he'd even got to the first corner, I guess that was due to Renaults strategy huh? If you really think the STR is one of the top 5 teams you're seriously stretching creditability. This isn't a Newey designed Torro Rosso like Vettel had, it's a back of the midfield car that has at least 12 better cars than it on the track, and yet they are both scoring points regularly.

I do not dislike Alguersuari and I quite like Buemi, it is just my opinion on their driving ability and that alone. I would like to know how you can come up with the assumption that the car is rubbish while saying both drivers are scoring points regularly.

Oh and also if Alguersuari was not a rubbish qualifier then he would have less points than he has now.

Well, he's better than Liuzzi (which tbh isnt too hard for much F1 drivers) but I dont think he's any better than Alguersuari - Who i dont really rate either. Red Bull's "rookies" imo have barely any potential and they should get rid of them as well as STR.

But I agree with Miggins, Alguersuari has been great this year (since his job has been on the line), and he's ahead of di Resta (who is apparently the best rookie in a better car than him) which proves how overrated di Resta is (oh wait, he's British, he cant be overrated)
