People will slag off everything from now on, they don't even know who the players are. I'd get used to the negative mentality being an entire season thing, especially if relegation is likely.
I like Dickie. I like Hendrick. I like Chris Wood. I like Freddy Woodman. I like Daniel Barlaser. I'd buy them all and give them starring roles. Defo be rewarded. All joking aside, I have no idea if Barlaser is good enough. But all youngsters should at least be given a chance. I still think Armstrong should have been given a chance in the Championship and could have been of use last year from the bench.
Barlaser had been praised throughout the season. Considering the **** we have in midfield I would have him on the bench for league games and he can start all cup games
I said the same about Armstrong. You get the numbskulls who look at their record in the Championship etc and start drawing conclusions. You never really know how they will truly go until you pitch them in. Harry Kane looked about Championship level or below when he was at Millwall, Leyton Orient, Leicester etc. Did decent but wasn't actually pulling up any trees. Beckham looked good at Preston, but you'd hardly think he was about to start on a journey towards being one of the best midfielders around. Give them a go. The one thing you know you'll get is a player who is fully invested in the club. Counts for a lot.
